I am a fully qualified traditional acupuncturist working from clinics in London (Belgravia) and Letchworth Garden City (Hertfordshire).

I first encountered acupuncture as an academic living and working in China. Having grown up in Germany, where there is a strong tradition of holistic medicine, I was immediately intrigued. Upon returning to the UK and experiencing the life-changing benefits of regular acupuncture treatment, I was inspired to become an acupuncturist myself.

Having completed a three-year training course at The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa, I was awarded a Distinction in the Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture. My studies covered all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the Five Element approach. Five Element Acupuncture considers a person’s immediate symptoms, as well as addressing wider issues that interfere with health, harmony and balance.

From 2016-19, I worked as an Accreditation Officer for the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB), which fosters and monitors educational standards for UK-based acupuncture training programmes. I also worked as a tutor at  The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council I adhere to the Council’s Codes of Safe Practice and Professional Conduct. BAcC members are also registered with the Professional Standards Authority, a body set up to regulate health and social care providers that is accountable to Parliament.

My clinics are licensed by Westminster and North Hertfordshire District Council respectively; I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.
